PhyloCOG

Input COG Number

PhyloCOG is a database of protein evolution knowledge derived from the COGs. The focus is on gaining an outline of the most ancient protein families. In addition to traditional parsimony information which can be used to assess pre-archaea:bacteria evolutionary history (conserved presence and phylogeny), PhyloCOG reports data on the evolutionary distance between domains, in comparison to evolutionary distances within domains.
